Years
have passed and still those precious moments of Daly
College are lingering in my heart & mind. It was a
privilege and a lifetime opportunity to be in Daly
College campus.
It
was 6th July 1979 when I entered in Daly College campus.
I was just captivated by the sight of the beautiful,
massive and magnificent marble building of the Daly
College. It was an amazing palace.
If the echoes from the Assembly Hall, feelings of the
master paintings on the walls of the Hall and
impressions on the marble stones could be interpreted
and understood, a great work on history, tradition and
transition could be compiled.
The
motto of the institution is "Gyan meva shakti".
The college gives you the entry to the abode of
"Gyan" Knowledge.
I
was sponsored by the Government of India to study in
the Daly College. I came from a humble background from
a place called Barh which is in Patna District of
Bihar, India. I did not know how to speak in English
and the Daly College was an English medium school. It
was the effort of Late Ms. G.B. Malkani, who took
great pain to make us learn English. Ms. Usha Zutshi,
our teacher & the House Mistress civilized our manners.
Our Principals Mr.
H. L. Dutt and Mr. B.S. Bhatnagar helped us nurture with Daly
College staff members.
Ms.
Sarita
Badhwar's passion for teaching and caring for us are commendable.
I
passed out in 1985 after having spent six years in the
Daly College.
