It stands
today as a tribute not only to Sir Henry Daly and Sir Hugh
Daly but to the generosity of the central Indian chiefs some of
whom have already had five generations studying in the
school.
Located on
its campus of 118 acres at a height of 1800 feet, occupied
in 1910, the main Building is built of unpolished marble and
designed by the Guru of Indo-Sarascenic
architecture, Col.
Sir Swinton Jacob.
Daly College,
popularly called as DC, became a founding member of the
Indian Public Schools conference
(IPSC)
in 1939 and is now a
co-educational residential-cum-day school.
Year
2003 saw DC become a
Regional Member of the ROUND
SQUARE, opening the way to build on the Round
Square pillars of internationalism, democracy, environment,
adventure, leadership & service.
The school is
owned by a non-profit Educational Society with an elected
Board of Governors.
