1960-1969:
In
December 1960, the college celebrated its
75th Anniversary. The Chief Guest was President Dr.
Rajendra
Prasad. Other guests included Governor H V Patasker and
the Chief Minister Dr. K N Katju. In
January 1961, the Pakistan Cricket team visited the College. In
1962, Digvijay Singh Raghogarh, Narendra Singh Bidwal, Mahesh
Pratap Singh & Harish Chandhok represented MP school boys
in cricket and MP won the championship beating Rajasthan, UP
& Vidarbha. Elections
to the Board were held in 1965. Maharaja Krishnaji Rao Puar of
Dewas Senior was elected President and Maharaja Ajit Singh
Jhabua, Vice President. In
1966, Governor K C Reddy was Chief Guest at the APG. In 1967,
E C Marchant visited and there was special function. Two other
prominent visitors in that year were Rajmata Vijaya Raje
Scindhia and the Chief Minister Govind Narayan. In 1967, the
Chief Guest at the APG was Dr. K L Joshi, Vice Chancellor of
the University of Indore.

On
the last day of the term in April 1968, Padma Shri R N
Zutshi passed away. Mr.
M L Renjan succeeded Mr. Zutshi in 1968. He was educated
at Forman Christian College, Lahore and was awarded a
scholarship for further studies to Aligarh Muslim University
where he won a gold medal. He taught Geography at the
Government College, Lahore, then at Forman Christian College
and later was Head of Geography at Aitchison College,
Lahore, where he was also Housemaster.
When
Pakistan was formed, Renjan left and joined Daly College in
1948 as Housemaster and Head of Geography. In 1952, he went as
a Fullbright Scholar to Syracuse University, New York. In
1953, the British Council arranged for him to visit schools in
the UK. In 1954, he was appointed Principal of Goverment Model
School, Delhi and the next year became the first Principal of
Air Force Central School, Delhi. Three years later, he
returned to DC as Principal. Mr.
Renjan was the first Principal to occupy Salter
House
where Principals have been residing ever since. The
Chief Guest in 1968 was Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindhia. In
1969, the Chief Guest at the APG was Raja Dinesh Singh,
Minister for External Affairs in the Goverment of India. He
was a Public school product from Doon and was a supporter of
the system.
